The Auburn Creed

Many of you know the Auburn Creed.  I was feeling sentimental for my dear ol’ Auburn, so here you go.  WAR EAGLE!!

The Auburn Creed

I believe that this is a practical world and that I can count only on what I earn. Therefore, I believe in work, hard work.

I believe in education, which gives me the knowledge to work wisely and trains my mind and my hands to work skillfully.

I believe in honesty and truthfulness, without which I cannot win the respect and confidence of my fellow men.

I believe in a sound mind, in a sound body and a spirit that is not afraid, and in clean sports to develop these qualities.

I believe in obedience to law because it protects the rights of all.

I believe in the human touch, which cultivates sympathy with my fellow men and mutual helpfulness and brings happiness for all.

I believe in my Country, because it is a land of freedom and because it is my own home, and that I can best serve that country by “doing justly, loving mercy, and walking humbly with my God.”

And because Auburn men and women believe in these things, I believe in Auburn and love it.

-George Petrie (1945)

The Mark Teixeira Song

If you are a Braves fan and you haven’t already heard the “Mark Teixeira Song,” then you are missing out.  The song was written and performed by a couple Auburn University students (War Eagle!).  Enjoy!

Chipper Jones tells NYC media to !@#$ off!

The NYC media took comments from Chipper Jones out of context and fabricated a storing stating the Chipper accused ARod of using steroids, so Chipper refused to talk to them Thursday. This comes as no surprise to me. The NYC media is about as reliable as the National Inquirer.

One fact remains– Chipper still OWNS the Mets and Shea Stadium! :)

Back to the grindstone… kinda

School starts back tomorrow. That really doesn’t mean jack to me, because I work year-round anyway. I just felt compelled to tell you. ;)

On another note, we are beginning the interview process for a new computer tech at work. If you or someone you know has at least a two-year degree or several years experience in the IT field and is looking for a job, check out our website for more info.

Catch ya later folks. I am off to bed, because tomorrow is gonna be bats. The first day of school always is.
